Chilworth Free Church is an Evangelical Church in the village of Chilworth in Surrey, UK. We hold to the Biblical historic Christian faith and preach Jesus Christ, the Son of God as the only Saviour and Lord.  Why not come along to one of our meetings, we would love to meet you.

Peter Fenne, who has led the Church for the last 30 years, retired on the 1st April 2024 and the Church is delighted to announce that Barry King has agreed to join us.  He will formally take over as our new leader from 1st July, and a number of exciting new events are planned.  Watch this space for further details!  Until then, the Church continues to function as shown on the notice board and on the Meetings page with visiting speakers: please do join us if you are able!

 

Meetings

Service Times:

  • Sunday 10:00am - Prayer Meeting

  • Sunday 10:30am - Public Worship Service

  • 3rd Sunday in the month: 4:30pm: Fellowship tea followed by Evening Service at 5:30pm

  • Wednesday 2:30pm: Bible Study & Prayer Meeting
  • There is normally a special service at 10:30am on Christmas Day and Good Friday

Church Organizations, Activities etc:

  • Some Tuesday late afternoons: Children's Club.  Please contact us for details

  • Third Wednesday of the month 10:00 am Coffee Morning.  Come and have a chat,  a drink and some cake!  There will also be a short talk

  • 1st Saturday in the month:  open air work in Chilworth

  • Every two months or so, we have a "Fellowship Lunch" in the Church, normally soup and bread followed by an exciting desert!  Always a good time of fellowship and sharing together over a simple meal
  • Approximately bi-monthy, we have some Special Meetings about Mission or subjects of general interest.   These are normally held in place of our usual Wednesday evening meeting.

Chilworth Free Church has been a key part of the community of Chilworth for over 90 years.

The A248 is the main road through the village of Chilworth, which lies between Shalford and Albury. The church is at the top of the unmade lane ‘Brookswood’ off New Road, near the railway level crossing in the middle of the village. There is parking space for cars at each end of the church buildings.
